ECS ASTAR SDN BHD started operations on 1st January 1995 by taking over the dealer channel division of ECS KU SDN BHD for the distribution of Hewlett-Packard PC products.

 

The main business activity of the Company is the distribution of Hewlett-Packard PC products, Canon, Apple, Microsoft, Epson, Adobe, Symantec, Samsung, Autodesk, Buffalo, SonicWall, Philips, Extreme Networks, Nortel and other leading brands of peripherals and software to dealers. It has a distribution channel of over 1000 dealers throughout Malaysia. It achieved RM1.0 billion of sales in 2008.

 

The Company has a total of 105 marketing, support and technical staff. ECS ASTAR is an authorized service center for Hewlett-Packard, Canon, Buffalo, and Microsoft Hardware for warranty service and repairs. In addition to a branch office in Penang for sales and services, the company has warehouses at Kota Kinabalu and Kuching, and sales offices at Johor Baru and Kuantan. The management, administration, accounting, warehousing and delivery services are provided by its holding company, ECS KUSH SDN BHD.
